Rap in Dutch
Rap in Dutch has been around since the 1990s and grew into one of the biggest genres in the Netherlands and Flanders. It covers every style, from boom-bap storytelling to trap, afro and, since the late 2010s, Dutch drill.
Dutch has its own rhythm. Words are long, consonants are hard and the stresses fall in different places than in English, so a flow that works on an American beat does not always fit. A good Dutch rap beat leaves room for that: drums that give the syllables space, and a bass that does not crowd a low voice.
Releases with Dutch artists
TH6 has produced for Blacka, Frsh and SHEP, among others. Those songs are on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, all listed on the releases page.

Which beat fits rap in Dutch
- Drill (140 to 150 BPM): for fast, dense verses and hard hooks. See sexy drill beats.
- Hoodtrap (around 146 BPM): dark and melodic, for rap that turns into singing. See hoodtrap beats.
- Hip-hop (90 to 100 BPM): for storytelling verses where every word has to land. See hip-hop beats.
A custom beat for a Dutch song
Send your references and a voice memo; TH6 hears how your lines sit and builds the beat around them. One price per brief, agreed up front, with the stems and the exclusive rights in writing.
How a custom beat works
- Send references: two or three songs whose sound you want, your tempo if you know it, and a voice memo or demo.
- You get one price up front, based on your brief. There is no standard rate, because no two songs are the same job.
- TH6 builds a first version. You react, and the beat gets shaped around your song.
- You get the WAV, the stems and an exclusive licence in writing.

Questions before you buy
Can I use a lease for a Dutch release?
Yes. A lease is in your artist name and lets you release your song on the streaming services, up to the stream limit of the licence. All licences are listed on the beats page.
Does TH6 work with Dutch and Flemish artists?
Yes. TH6 is based in the Netherlands and produces custom beats and complete tracks for artists in the Netherlands, Flanders and further away, with the price agreed per brief.
Which tempo works best for rap in Dutch?
That depends on your flow. Dense, fast verses sit well on drill at 140 to 150 BPM; storytelling works on hip-hop at 90 to 100 BPM.
