Backseat
Backseat is a hoodtrap beat in the lane of Nemzzz and Kidwild, produced by TH6. It runs at 146 BPM in A#m and lasts 2:09. Play the preview, pick a licence, and the tagged WAV and MP3 arrive in your inbox straight away.
How Backseat is built
Backseat runs as two halves. For the first minute it rolls at one steady level, with room for a verse without the beat pushing you. At 0:58 it drops out almost completely, and at 1:06 it comes back much harder and stays there until 2:06. That gap is a ready-made spot for a hook, a pause, or the switch between two verses.
Tempo, key and length
- Tempo: 146 BPM. In half time it feels like 73 BPM, which is how most artists count a hoodtrap groove.
- Key: A#m. Its relative major is C# major, so a hook written in C# major fits without transposing.
- Length: 2:09, roughly 78 bars. That is room for two verses and a hook that comes back, or a shorter song with a longer intro.
- Produced by TH6.
