Type beats

A type beat is a beat in the style of a known artist, named after them so you can find the sound you are after. These are the TH6 beats, sorted by the artist styles they fit. None of these artists are involved with the beats; the names describe the sound.

How these beats are sorted

A beat only gets an artist name here when it genuinely fits that lane: the tempo, the drums and the kind of melody people expect when they search for it. Some lanes carry two names because people search for the same sound under both, like Nemzzz and Kidwild, or Kehlani and Cash Cobain. The list grows when the catalogue does, not by putting every popular name on every beat.

The name is a starting point, not a promise about your song. Play the beats and trust your ears over the label: the same beat can suit more than one style, and your voice decides which one it becomes.

What a type beat is, in short

Producers name beats after artists because that is how people search: someone who wants the sound of Nemzzz types "Nemzzz type beat". The name tells you the lane, not who made the beat or who will rap on it. The full story, from where the term comes from to what you can and cannot do with it, is in the guide what is a type beat.

Releasing a song on a type beat

A type beat is leased like any other beat: the licence is in your artist name, the tag stays in, and the stream limit depends on the lease. When you release, use your own song title without "type beat" in it; distributors such as DistroKid refuse those. TH6 does not register beats in YouTube Content ID, so your videos do not get claimed. Step by step: release a song on a leased beat.

Your artist is not on the list?

The list only has lanes the catalogue genuinely fits. If you are after another sound, TH6 makes a custom beat from your references, in any genre: see all genres.
