Rooftop
Rooftop is a sexy drill beat in the lane of Kehlani and Cash Cobain, produced by TH6. It runs at 147 BPM in Fm and lasts 2:10. Play the preview, pick a licence, and the tagged WAV and MP3 arrive in your inbox straight away.
How Rooftop is built
Rooftop has the biggest drop in the catalogue. It builds over the first forty seconds, goes completely silent from 1:10 to 1:15, and comes back at 1:16 with a bigger jump in level than any other beat in the shop. Everything before that silence is a run-up; the hook or the verse you want remembered belongs right after it.
Tempo, key and length
- Tempo: 147 BPM. In half time it feels like 74 BPM, which is how most artists count a sexy drill groove.
- Key: Fm. Its relative major is A♭ major, so a hook written in A♭ major fits without transposing.
- Length: 2:10, roughly 80 bars. That is room for two verses and a hook that comes back, or a shorter song with a longer intro.
- Produced by TH6.
