Trapdoor
Trapdoor is a sexy drill beat in the lane of Kehlani and Cash Cobain, produced by TH6. It runs at 148 BPM in Fm and lasts 2:09. Play the preview, pick a licence, and the tagged WAV and MP3 arrive in your inbox straight away.
How Trapdoor is built
Trapdoor is up to speed from the first bar, then cuts out for a moment at 0:13 and at 0:32, coming straight back each time. Near-silent stops follow at 0:50 and 1:09, and from 1:15 it runs at full weight to the end. Every cut is a place to land a punchline or switch your flow.
Tempo, key and length
- Tempo: 148 BPM. In half time it feels like 74 BPM, which is how most artists count a sexy drill groove.
- Key: Fm. Its relative major is A♭ major, so a hook written in A♭ major fits without transposing.
- Length: 2:09, roughly 80 bars. That is room for two verses and a hook that comes back, or a shorter song with a longer intro.
- Produced by TH6.
