Sound design
Music is only part of what people hear. The whoosh under a title, the hit on a cut, the air behind a shot, the sound an app makes when something works: that is sound design. TH6 makes it on request, for video, ads, apps and artists, with the rights in writing and one price agreed up front.
What sound design covers
- Sound effects and transitions for video, ads and social: whooshes, hits and textures that follow the edit.
- Atmospheres and backgrounds: the space behind a scene, a room, a street, or a place that does not exist.
- Interface and notification sounds for apps, websites and products.
- Sounds for artists: an opening for a live show, transitions between songs, or effects for a release.
Not on the list? Describe it in the brief and you get an answer. Sonic logos and intros are on the page about jingles and intros; music written to picture is film music.
Why made to order
Library sound effects are quick, but the same whoosh turns up in thousands of other videos. Sounds made for your project fit the pace and the colour of your picture, and nobody else has them. Every sound is played, recorded or programmed by TH6, or comes from a source with a licence for commercial use.
What you get
The sounds as high-quality WAV files. The formats, the number of variations and the rights are agreed in the proposal, so you know up front what you receive.
How it works
- You send a brief: what the sounds are for, where they will be heard, and if you have it the video, a screen recording or examples.
- You get one price and a planning up front, with the rights that come with it.
- TH6 makes a first set. You react, and the sounds get refined within the agreed rounds.
- You get the files and the rights in writing.
What sound design costs
Always agreed per project, on request. The price depends on the number of sounds, how closely they have to follow the picture, the deadline and the rights. After your brief you get one fixed price, before any work starts.
Frequently asked questions
How much does sound design cost?
It depends on the number of sounds, the deadline and the rights. You get one fixed price per project after sending a brief.
Can you work from my video?
Yes. A cut of the video, even a rough one, is the best starting point: the sounds are made to follow it.
Can I use the sounds commercially?
Yes, within the rights agreed in writing. Every sound is original or licensed for commercial use.
