Song production
A beat is something you write on. A complete track is the whole song, produced around what you bring: lyrics, a topline, a voice memo or a rough demo. TH6 builds the full production from the first bar to the last, and the rights and splits are settled in writing before the work starts.
What a complete track is
A custom beat gives you an instrumental to write and record on. With a complete track the production follows the song: the structure, the build towards the hook, the breaks and the transitions are made for your vocal and your lyrics, not the other way round. The result is one song, produced from start to finish.
What you bring
- The song as far as it exists: lyrics, a topline, a voice memo, or a demo recorded on your phone.
- References: two or three songs whose sound or feel you want.
- Where the track is going: a single, a project, a video or something else, and when you need it.
What you get
The produced track as a WAV. Which other files come with it, such as an instrumental version or the stems, is agreed in the proposal, so you know up front what you receive. You also get the rights in writing.
How it works
- You send a brief with the song, your references and your deadline.
- You get one price and a planning up front, including what is delivered and which rights you get. No hourly rate.
- TH6 produces a first version. You react, and the track gets shaped around the song.
- Revisions happen within the rounds agreed in the proposal.
- You get the files and the rights in writing.
Rights and splits
Who gets which share of the master and the publishing is agreed before the work starts and put in writing. That way a release never gets stuck on the question of who gets what.
Custom beat or complete track?
Choose a custom beat when you want an instrumental to write on and record with your own engineer. Choose a complete track when you already have the song, or the start of it, and want the production built around it from the first bar to the last. Not sure? Pick "Not sure yet" in the brief and describe the song.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a beat and a complete track?
A beat is an instrumental you write on. A complete track is the whole song produced around your vocal and lyrics, with an arrangement made for that one song.
How much does it cost to get a song produced?
It depends on the song, the number of versions, the deadline and the rights. You get one price up front, per project, after sending a brief. There is no hourly rate.
Can I send a voice memo?
Yes. A voice memo or a demo on your phone is often the quickest way to show where the song needs to go.
Who owns the track?
The shares of the master and the publishing are agreed in writing before the work starts, so it is clear before the release who owns what.
